Okay lets talk going on a cruise… for a lot of people it is maybe something they have done once for their honeymoon, or heard stories of from their parents who are retired and cruise, or have friends who work on cruse ships BUT maybe you fit none of those categories…. maybe you have kids and are wondering if it would even be enjoyable to go on a cruise OR if it would be a week of being trapped in a giant ship with your small children wishing you had just done a road trip or stayed home and sent the kids to their grandparents while you went on a date night and called it a vacation…. This post is for you!!!! We went on not one but two cruises last year for the first time with the girls and I have put together everything I learned from that experience. I honestly wasn’t sure if cruising with kids would be fun but since going am now firmly convinced that cruising may be the most relaxing way to travel especially with kids.

On day 2 and 3 we ate at the Gold Lounge for breakfast which was like everything else super amazing. There is a buffet out and access to drinks and snacks all day and I would definitely recommend adding that to your trip. We ate lunch and dinner at just about all of the restaurants on the resort and every single meal was amazing. Specifically on that night we had dinner at Toro which was amazing… the dessert was this ice cream and chocolate concoction that they literally drop like a bomb on your table it was ridiculous and awesome. Oh and I should mention every single restaurant had a kids menu so there was no where on the resort we didn’t feel welcome with the girls.
Read moreA Small Shop Gift Guide!
Hey! Okay so I wasn’t necessarily planning on doing any gift guides for black Friday and I definitely don’t have any affiliate swipe up links for you, but I do have a list of small shops that I love who are having sales this weekend. I have never been one to shop on Black Friday…. the one time Ben and I went out the crowds were just too overwhelming and we went home with nothing but a box of brownie mix because one of the stores we stopped at was Target. SO this list isn’t linked to anything that benefits me in anyway, I just figured with all the different advertisements coming your way this holiday season it might be nice to have a list of small shops with quality products and the sales or discounts they are offering. I do not benefit from sharing this with you… well only in that it does bring me joy knowing that these small shops are working really hard and if you find something that meets your holiday shopping needs from them… well then that is a win for everyone!
Read moreA Weekend In Boulder Colorado!
Okay I have to confess we have seriously overlooked Boulder Colorado. When Ben and I were dating we went and walked around a few times but never gave this city the attention it deserves! This past weekend we went and spent a few days exploring Boulder with the girls and it was so much fun! I grossly underestimated the charm of this city and now kind of consider it the Portland Oregon of Colorado. I had a few people who watched my Instagram stories while we were there ask for recommendations on what to do SO here is all the things we did and my general thoughts on them. We loved Boulder and will be back so if you have any recommendations of your own or questions about anywhere we went please, please, please comment below!
Read moreBack in a Bus!!!!!!!!!!
Hey! Oh my gosh I am so excited to write this blog post… I want to just be completely transparent this wasn’t something we saw coming, actually this was a spur of the moment decision that has become so beautiful and amazing and I am so excited about it. For anyone who doesn’t know about when we previously converted a school bus into a tiny home you can find all those blog posts HERE and a Youtube tour of that bus HERE. A little over a year ago now we sold that first bus (someone in Hawaii actually bought it and had it shipped out). Since then we have lived in two apartments and now our aframe WHICH we are not getting rid of… I just feel like I need to say that up front the aframe is still our home and also the 5 acres it sits on happens to be the perfect place to park our new bus when we aren’t using it. To full understand why we decided to move back into the bus I need to give a little back story…..
Read moreThe 5 Things I Am Doing to Stay Fit Pre-Marathon Training.
This post is sponsored by Athleta AND all of this is my own content, thoughts, and voice. I don’t know how many of you saw my story poll on Instagram asking about running a marathon but my thought is that for those who are interested we could all train and run a marathon together! The marathon I want to run is in June and my plan is to get everything up and ready for everyone to start training in January! SO you may be wondering how do I stay fit now? What can I do to get in pre marathon training shape? I should mention this is just what I am doing it isn’t a “how to” or even advice you should follow but it is how I am staying in shape until I start marathon training! Also if you want to join in on the marathon training definitely stick around as I will be sharing more details in December! PS. if you want to join in comment so below so I can start to get an idea of how many of us will be training together… I am going to share which marathon I am doing so that if you want to actually physically run the same one with me you can BUT you could also totally just train along with me and run one wherever you are!
Read moreA Weekend Getaway to Ruidoso New Mexico
If you are like me the first thing you did when you saw the title of this blog post was say, "Wait. where is Ruidoso, New Mexico?" I think I spent an entire two weeks before our trip Googling everything I could find about Ruidoso because I had never heard of it and didn't want to miss anything! Ruidoso is in the Sierra Blanca Mountain range in New Mexico — and it is exactly as beautiful as it sounds. With hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, skiing in the winter, and really interesting historical sites, there was no way we would run out of things to do. The easiest way to get to Ruidoso is to fly in to one of the closest airports. For us, it was Albuquerque, though El Paso, Texas is another one that isn't far away. It was about a 55-minute direct flight from Denver and then a three-hour drive to Ruidoso, which is southeast of Albuquerque.
Read moreDO You Need a Double Stroller?
Your having a second baby, you have a single stroller you love but you know there really isn't a good way to cram two babies in there. Yeah you might wear your new baby in a sling or carrier for a while but do you really want to wear them all the time? But wait.... double strollers are bulky, heavy, awkward... yeah okay you can just make the single stroller work. BUT WAIT... CUE Disney Land... you put your 6 month old baby in the single stroller because you are also chasing your 3 year old around. It is hot, tiring, your 3 year old is starting to melt down... her feet hurt, her legs are too heavy to walk, BUT you already have a 6 month old asleep in your single stroller what do you do? if you actually are me and lived this situation you put your 3 year old shamelessly into the basket under the stroller so she can take a nap and you can watch people snicker and giggler at you as you walk around Disney for the rest of the day. NOT ideal but hey it did the trick. SO let me ask again is that double stroller sounding good right about now?
