Okay so this post has been a long time coming... like crazy long time... like we have been potty training for an embarrassingly long time BUT because of that I have a few tips to pass on that have made our journey more fun and in some cases literally made my life easier through this whole potty training process. The main thing to keep in mind though is that these are just tips and every child is different so no matter where you are in this journey, it is okay and you will get there! The most important thing is to let your child go at their own pace and know that your not alone in this. Potty training is hard but these are a few things that have made our journey just a little bit easier along the way:Read More
So let's get real here I don't know anything about potty training. Even saying the word gives me a bit of anxiety. I mean there are methods, and bells, and candy, and charts... I could go on. I worry my child will learn how to poop on command for M&M's or just never be potty trained and be 13 still in diapers... SO let me preface this with the reality that this is NOT my way of saying I have the answers to potty training.... because I most definitely do not. I have found a method that we are going to give a try and I am feeling really positive about and supported by! So if you too are looking for a potty training method read on and I will share a bit more about our plan.
When PoGo Positive Potty Training Panda contacted me about their potty training system I was super excited. I knew potty training was a huge mile stone looming on the horizon and I had no idea what we were going to do about it. PoGO Potty Panda is a positive potty training method created by Dr. Maria Darcy. This method is fun, interactive, and engaging, which are all things I had assumed potty training would not be. Further this method reduces the need for a power struggle over potty training, builds positive self esteem, and even reminds the child at regular intervals when to go potty!
PoGo Positive Potty Training Panda is a three part system. it comes with a cuddly panda that talks and actually says quite a few useful things. An adorable potty training book that we have been reading to Jessamyn everyday, and stickers to decorate your potty, which Jessamyn felt were better suited for decorating her face and the panda! As you can see from the pictures she has become ridiculously attached to this panda and it literally goes everywhere we go... and yes it totally has a potty on it's foot!
oh! I almost forgot PoGo Positive Potty Panda System also offers free webinars to help parents new to potty training. In these webinars Dr. Maria Darcy provides tips, tricks and even answers questions. I haven't actually attended one yet but am signing up for the next one coming up on June 22, 2016 at 8pm PST (and at 8pm EST). If you are interested you can sigh up here! Ps. Check out our Instagram page for an awesome giveaway for the PoGo Positive Potty Training Panda System!
There are a lot of new experiences in Motherhood that can often leave us feeling isolated and overwhelmed. I am convinced that potty training does not have to be one of them. I would love to hear your potty training questions, tips, tricks, or just general stories about your experiences. If you are like me and getting ready to potty train I encourage you to enter the giveaway and sign up for the webinar! I would love to hear your thoughts about it afterward and will definitely share mine! (Giveaway now closed)
