Okay so let’s just be real here this is a blog post about a tooth brush… I know your probably thinking wow she has lost it writing a blog post about a tooth brush BUT hear me out. When Ben and I were dating a good amount of time was spent with me picking him up or waiting for him at dentist appointments (I use to bring him a bag of gummy candy that he obviously couldn’t eat because his mouth was so sore from dental work but it was to remind him that it was worth it and he would someday be able to eat them again). He went for the first time in I think he said 7 years or something crazy like that and basically half my memories from our dating months are of the horrible experience that was for him. It made me go out and buy a new tooth brush, mouth wash, floss, and everything else I thought could help me not have to have a similar experience with going to the dentist because I am going to be honest I am always terrified. SO when Philips Sonicare reached out asking if we wanted to try their DiamondClean toothbrush I said yes mostly because I hadn’t updated my toothbrush in almost 5 years (Literally since that time when we were dating… which is horrifying considering I live in fear of the dentist) and also because I had heard some good things about this tooth brush and wanted to try it out for myself. SO yes yes yes this post is sponsored but it is all my thoughts and experience and a blog post about a tooth brush that I never expected to write but here we are!
When Philips Sonicare sent us the DiamondClean toothbrush (one for Ben and one for me) they asked us to brush our teeth with it twice a day for two minutes… so we did. We both were coming from very old models of electric tooth brushes …. Like think giant old heavy tooth brushes that should probably have been retired years and years ago err actually may have been…. so my first impression of this tooth brush was “dang this is really light and easy to use.” The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean has 62,000 brush movements per minute so you aren’t even really brushing but more like gliding the tooth brush across your teeth and it feels amazing. The DiamondClean has different modes you can use including clean, gum care, sensitive, and white which I have tried them all and do feel like there is a difference and as someone with sensitive teeth appreciate the options. Also the DiamonClean has a QuadPacer that will time out 2 minutes for you so you don’t even have to set a timer or constantly be checking to see how long you have brushed the toothbrush just knows which honestly helped me keep on track with brushing for 2 minutes twice a day because well I probably would have been distracted and never made it to 2 minutes without that.
I know it sounds crazy that I am gushing about a tooth brush but seriously this one is so good and the way my teeth feel after is unlike anything I have ever achieved with my old tooth brush or a manual (which I am never going back to) and so worth it for me to actually know I am getting a good clean. I mean my mouth actually feels clean and there have been times in the past with my old tooth brush where I would brush and then 5 minutes later go back and brush again because my teeth just didn’t feel clean. Another feature I really was surprised and impressed by was the wireless charging glass. So yes you can set the DiamondClean tooth brush into the charging glass and it charges and looks beautiful and also doubles as a rinsing glass so yeah basically the coolest tooth brush feature I didn’t even know I wanted and now can’t understand why this hasn’t always been a thing.
Also Jessamyn has the Sonicare Kids toothbrush which Phia is too young to use but I totally plan on getting her one when she is a little older because it is so cool. (The first time she used it she closed her eyes like it was a massage because before that she had only had a toddler manual tooth brush that obviously didn’t vibrate) It comes with stickers so they can choose the look (she opted to leave her toothbrush without stickers so that it would look like ours which I thought was so sweet) AND it comes with an app that you can synch via Bluetooth to your kids tooth brush and it will help them see how well they are brushing and brush their teeth longer which is always a win and has always been a struggle for us in the past. Also I think because of the vibration she doesn’t chew on it like a manual one which is nice because we use to go through a tooth brush a month due to her chewing up the bristles!
SO Yeah! This is the longest post I have ever done all about a tooth brush and I am totally sold! We have loved our experience with the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean and I have been recommending it awkwardly (because I mean I never thought I would be saying “hey what are you brushing your teeth with? You need to try this!) to everyone we know like I have been with this one! SO if you have any questions or thoughts about the DiamondClean tooth brush please leave them below and/or if you just need to bond over a common fear of going to the dentist I am totally here for that too… no judgement!
