Many of you probably haven’t followed me from the beginning BUT when Jessamyn was little I went through yoga teacher training and was pretty serious about it. During that time we moved, and moved again, and moved into the bus, and then moved again…. and basically I stopped practicing. Time, money, not having a studio to go to anywhere near where we were living all played a roll and I seriously wished I could get back in to yoga. SO when Bulldog Yoga reached out asking if I wanted to try out their program and to collaborate I was really excited. I had looked into a few online yoga programs before but never committed and figured now was as good a time as any to try something new and get back into doing yoga! Also can I just say for me childcare has always been an issue when it comes to yoga and trying a program at home was really appealing as far as getting to do yoga without having to find someone to watch the girls or find a class that worked around my husbands work schedule!
Okay Bulldog Yoga the details:
This is an online program and there is an app you can download to use from any device and pretty much anywhere! They also have in studio classes depending on where you live but the closest one is still about a 2 hour drive for me so I have only tried the online classes! BUT if you live near a Bulldog location I would highly recommend trying an in studio class too!
There are four types of classes; activate, invigorate, exhilarate, and a basics class. These different classes allow you to have the experience you need depending on what level of activity you are looking for that day. All of these classes are set to music and actually you can download the Bulldog yoga playlists on Spotify which is pretty cool!
The classes range from 25 to 45 minutes depending on the class which is awesome because depending on how much time you have you can get in a quick session or spend more time on it! I honestly love it because I can plan out my day and actually focus and spend time on these classes no matter how much time I have available. Also let’s be honest with kids having the ability to pause the video and jump right back in once i’ve helped whoever needs whatever is really awesome.
You can sign up for a day pass, a month pass, or a monthly subscription AND honestly regardless of the level compared to an in studio class the rates are incredibly reasonable in my opinion. (if you want to try a free 30 day trial click HERE) Having researched yoga classes pretty much everywhere we have lived and trying to find something I could do but also afford the rates at Bulldog Yoga are good and really accessible.
My thoughts -
I really liked the freedom to be able to do this program anywhere, the girls really liked the beat of the music and would frequently join me (or dance around me) which was fun and while a little distracting created a sort of family yoga practice that I love. The variety of classes is nice because like at any studio it gives you the freedom to do what your needing that day and try different things. Also the ability to do it anywhere… I cannot stress again is so nice because I can practice in our cabin, in a hotel room, pretty much anywhere we are I can keep up and continue to practice yoga!
Bulldog Yoga prides itself in being accessible and open to everyone no matter where you are at in your yoga practice which I love, for me I like the spiritual side of yoga and the fact you can go as deep as you want or not… it is up to you. I would definitely say Bulldog Yoga has a very physical practice focus and with the music and the way they teach really does make it easy to jump in to any class and have a good experience. Also if you were brand new to yoga I think you could jump right in because the classes are taught in a way that is really accessible to anyone and everyone.
If you want to try out Bulldog Yoga for yourself you can do a free 30 day trial HERE! If you have any questions or want more information please ask! I love doing yoga daily and having the ability to practice anywhere through Bulldog Yoga has been amazing and seriously brought so much focus to my life. I am not sure if I am going to make a series out of this or not but will definitely continue to use Bulldog Yoga and practice regularly.
