Okay first I need to say these photos are actually from Halloween week as that is just what we were doing when my new glasses came in and so that is what you are getting today.. (your welcome) if I could keep Ophelia in this bat costume year round umm I think I would! Secondly this post is sponsored by Zenni but all content you see here is my own and my honest opinion. Third I want to ask you a question, how are you taking care of yourself this year? And maybe a long that same line if you wear glasses when was the last time you updated your frames?
So I have to confess I have been wearing the same frames for about 10 years now. I also haven’t updated my prescription during that time so year things have been bad as far as that goes. One thing I promised myself this year though was to take care of myself and to not put off the little things. So when Zenni reached out to collaborate I said yes and used it as a good opportunity to update my frames and get my prescription checked. The nice thing with Zenni is that you can do everything online. They even have a face shape quiz and try on tool that allows you to really find the frames that will work for you. Also their frames are incredibly affordable which was a plus for me as that is something I always like to keep in mind. I got the Pink rectangle Glasses you can find them HERE and according to Jessamyn they are “so beautiful.” Also they really pair well with all the knits I plan on living in this winter which is a total bonus.
Honestly all of there frames were so good and I will definitely be ordering from Zenni again. ON that same note though I also will be focusing on taking care of myself more. Glasses was just one piece of this and admittedly with how long I waited it was a big piece and something I really needed to do but also just one small step towards actually caring for myself. Sometimes I feel like in motherhood I let the little things go. I don’t always put my needs first because I am taking care of two tiny humans who have a lot of needs and whose needs I am responsible for meeting BUT I am finding I am a better mother and more able to meet their needs when I am taking care of myself. SO that means this month I also scheduled a dentist appointment, got a hair cut, and have regularly been using our gym membership…. all small things but all add up to a better me which makes everything so much better for the girls as well.
I would love to hear how you are taking care of yourself this year? AND if you wear glasses I want to know how often do you update your frames? This was the first time for me in like 10 years… which is insane and not going to happen again. There is something so fun about refreshing your look and I am totally hooked on Zenni.
