I think the one thing we all dread in motherhood is when our babies get sick. For me I always feel a bit helpless, guilty, and most of all ready to do anything I can to make them feel better. There is always an over abundance of tea, cuddles, and as many movies as necessary until they feel better. Okay but serious confession... I had never used a nasal aspirator. You know that little bulb syringe they give you at the hospital when you leave... yeah I threw it away convinced I would never need it. Jessamyn made it two years before I ever considered using a nasal aspirator and Ophelia.. well she didn't even make it three weeks before coming down with a horrible cold. I was honestly terrified of sucking the boogers out of her nose.. I know that sounds nuts I mean I am her mom but I didn't want to hurt her and didn't feel confident that I had any idea what I was doing. So Instead I spent many sleepless nights sitting up with her trying to help her breathe through her stuffed nose and wishing I could sleep. That though has all recently changed!
Nosiboo is an award winning nasal aspirator that I can genuinely say works! Nosiboo sent us one to review and I was honestly skeptical not because of anything to do with them as a company but completely because of my own fears about being able to help clear my babies blocked nose. Well this week we tried it out for the first time and oh my gosh it works! I was so grossed out and impressed... and by grossed out I mean by the large amount of snot that came out of Ophelia's nose it was something else BUT she was calm through the whole process that took literally all of 10 seconds and as soon as I was done she could breathe and went to sleep.
So basically I felt really dumb for having never tried this before and really impressed at how well it worked and how much snot it was able to clear. It was also incredibly easy to clean which was great considering well what you are using it for. SO yes this is a sponsored post but I am completely satisfied and impressed by the product. As we approach cold and flu season I am confident we will be okay and that this product will most definitely be helping us out. My husband was even so impressed he said he wished they made one for adults... so that is saying something.
I would love to hear your cold and flu remedies! As we approach Winter I always secretly dread all the potential for getting sick and do try to keep us healthy and our immunity up but inevitably a cold will happen and I am feeling way more prepared now that we have the Nosiboo. Other than that though we tend to keep it pretty low key as far as handling colds and I am definitely open to any advice, tips tricks, remedies... chicken noodle soup recipes... Seriously though how do you help your tinies through a cold? I want to know!
