Confession... when I have a big (okay or small) trip coming up I always mentally start shopping around for a few new pieces to wear while on that trip. A lot of times this involves looking at the 10 day forecast and trying to figure out what the weather will be like, occasionally browsing sales or my favorite stores looking for that one piece that obviously I have to have for this trip, and/or thinking practically about what I want to pack to feel comfortable but also beautiful while traveling. Which the last one may sound a bit vain half the fun of traveling is getting to explore a new place and I honestly don't see anything wrong with having something dreamy and new to wear while doing that!
I have linked a few of my favorite shops that I got pieces from for our road trip below. Which if you missed our road trip posts you can find the first one HERE. These are all super comfortable, versatile pieces for both myself and Jessamyn that we wore multiple times on this trip and in many different weather conditions, which I honestly didn't foresee as well as I would have liked but everything worked out amazingly and I am already dreaming of repeating this trip in the future!
I should add all of these shops have ever changing inventories so these exact items may not be available but similar or different ones for sure will be!
CLOTH - Okay so this shop is more Jessamyn but they do have an amazing selection of things for adults too so definitely go take a look! Jessamyn has several dresses, bloomers, and tops from CLOTH that she wore on this trip and they all held up amazingly. My favorite thing about CLOTH is that it is not one brand but more a collection of pieces from many different brands so basically you can shop at one place but come across so many unique products and makers and support a lot of wonderful individuals in the process. My favorite piece from CLOTH that Jessamyn wore on this trip was a bunny sweater which you can see HERE. I did not anticipate it being quite as cold as it was early on in our trip and she wore this sweater almost everyday, it was literally the perfect lightweight but still warm find for this trip. Also the creator of CLOTH is basically the sweetest and I honestly really appreciate knowing that when I am shopping I am supporting real people with real dreams and goals and it just adds that extra level of connection and love to the products I am purchasing.
One Loved Babe - A factor I had to consider on this trip was definitely my ever growing middle. Being pregnant and leaving town for a month means packing for a belly that is going to be bigger when you return than when you left. For me that meant flowing dresses with forgiving waistlines and freedom to move comfortably no matter what we were doing or how my body was responding to being pregnant that day.
One Loved Babe is a shop I have bought so many dresses from this year. The stock is ever changing and so literally day-to-day you can go and find something totally different. My favorite piece from them I brought on this trip is the blue dress you can see in the photo above. It was really light and flowy and made me feel comfortable and beautiful no matter how bloated or tired or whatever my body was feeling that day. They aren't maternity so definitely go take a look regardless of whether you are expecting or not! Also they have a lot more than dresses so seriously a little bit of something for whatever your destination or trip may be! AND many of their dresses are nursing friendly so definitely a plus as far as the longevity of their pieces at least for me!
Daisy Love Boutique - This shop was brand new to me before this trip but quite literally the dresses I brought I lived in almost daily on this trip. The yellow dress pictured at the beginning of this post is from them as well as the blue striped dress in the image above and a floral dress I have not pictured. I picked dresses that either wrapped or could be paired with leggings because I wasn't entirely sure what the weather would be like and wanted the freedom to change things up and pack light but with pieces that were versatile.
Daisy Love Boutique also has an ever changing inventory and is maybe one of my very favorite shops to browse. I am definitely on there quite regularly looking to see if there is something new that just speaks to me. If you haven't figured it out I am really into pairing short dresses (tunics if you will) with leggings while pregnant and this shop is definitely the place to find those! ALSO not maternity so good for everyone and I can continue to wear these pieces even after baby girl gets here. They also have other items as well so really another good one stop shop for some really fresh and beautiful fashion pieces.
Okay! So those were my three main go to shops on our trip! I would love to hear where you shop regularly and what you look for when packing for a trip? Obviously these aren't necessarily the essentials of packing but again if you are going on a dreamy road trip why not bring a few pieces that make you feel dreamy and lovely as well, right?!
