Now that we have moved and the girls are actually sharing a room I have to admit I have been having way to much fun decorating it and putting together a space that they can share and love. I am not really someone who plans out things in advance or knows much about interior design at all... but I tried really hard to create a space that embodies them and has a cozy but welcoming vibe. A space where they can play and laugh. Where adventure and creativity can reign free. I am sure this space will evolve and change as they grow up but for now... this is home.
Ophelias Space -
Crib: Okay this might quite literally be my favorite piece of Ophelia's part of the room. Her crib is from Sprout San Francisco and is a Sprout exclusive from Newport Cottages. The Saylor crib is an heirloom piece designed with care and quality that I have never seen before in a crib. it has a mid century feel and is just incredibly well made and absolutely stunning.. I could not speak highly enough about this crib even if I tried. It is manufactured in the USA and made of poplar and birch with each piece being individually hand crafted. It is also made to be incredibly non toxic with the paint used being tested for over 100 different substances and Newport Cottages whole collection is actually all free of toxic chemicals creating a healthy nursery environment.
Ophelia's Wall art: I got each of the girls a birth poster from The Birth Poster. It is to scale and has their exact measurements. it is so beautiful to be able to see them grow and change and have that reminder of how small they were. You can find those HERE.
Rugs: We actually have two different rugs in the girls room. One that you can see on my Instagram HERE is from Lorena Canals Rugs and the other is from Kroma Carpets which you can find HERE. Both are super lovely and really add a nice touch to the space. The one from Lorena Canals Rugs is even washable which has been completely amazing and such. game changer as far as having a rug in their room!
Floor Cushions: The cushions I have on the floor around Ophelia's bed are also from Lorena Canals Rugs and are incredibly comfortable and create a nice space for them to play and read and just hangout together.
Jessamyn's Space -
Crib (but soon to be twin bed): Jessamyn has a crib from Davinci Baby that she has had for quite a while now. As we potty train her though we are quickly looking at moving her to a toddler or probably more like twin bed. I am secretly hoping I can find something in this same green color though!
Wall Art: The art above Jessamyn's crib is from Sunwoven and is absolutely gorgeous. Everything from Sunwoven is stunning and made with such care and love I will hopefully keep this piece up for years to come... or until she insists on decorating her own space but maybe even then she will want this wall hanging because it is so lovely.
Quilt: Currently Jessamyn has a quilt from Kanthabae... I say currently because I am planning on stealing it from her in the near future but for now it is hers. Each quilt is unique and made from layers of embroidered cotton sarees and it is just absolutely gorgeous!
Okay so! That is super basic but honestly I prefer to keep their space as minimal as possible because it allows for more room to play and imagine. They do have a small closet completely full of books and other toys that we switch out regularly to keep things fresh and exciting. If you have any questions at all about their space please let me know!
