*Disclaimer these photos are actually a few weeks old but are the most recent I have so please know we are further than this!!
This will be the very last bus update before the final reveal. After this update we will be locking everything down until we post a reveal video on youtube! If you want to make sure you don't miss that please subscribe HERE. It will becoming in the next few weeks and I cannot wait to show you!
SO what have we done since the last update? Basically everything! All the walls are framed in and covered in reclaimed cedar. Ben pressure washed, sanded, and then put up some beautiful reclaimed cedar fence boards a friend gave us for free. it looks amazing... just wait, and it was an awesome source of free cedar which smells so good and isn't exactly the cheapest if you are buying it new. I was a little skeptical at first but it looks so good and that smell is seriously the best!
He also installed the cabinets in the kitchen and the farm house sink. We still have to go get the counter top and run propane for the stove but other than that the kitchen is complete. We set the bus up so that the plumbing for the sink and the shower are next to each other which has made storage for the water tank and everything else not easy but not as difficult as it could be!
We also built a pantry in the kitchen and Ben built our bed frame in the bedroom. We were originally going to purchase a frame but after taking measurements realized the frame we wanted was too big and if we wanted a queen sized bed we would have to build our own. Its designed to lift up so there is storage underneath and I absolutely love it.
SO what do we have left? Actually a lot but not a lot if that makes sense... Ben has to run the propane like I mentioned above, we need to lay down the floors, paint the bunk beds, put up curtain rods, install the couch, install the wood burning stove and put up the fire tiles around the area where it is going, build doors for the bathroom and bed room, and install the floors. Other than that though we are really close and hoping to be done in the next week or two. Once that is all done we just have to register is as an RV and we will be good to go!
Oh and I almost forgot the shower... this has been a bit of a struggle and so there is a good chance we will be finishing that last potentially even after we have moved in.
I have been getting a lot of questions lately about different aspects of the bus and would love to answer them all! If you have any questions please leave them in the comments and again check in with youtube in a few weeks as we will have a reveal tour!!
