Jessamyn turned two today and in the spirit of that I thought it would be fun to put together a little gift guide for a two year old! Gift giving is something I really enjoy doing, because honestly it is really fun finding unique and often hand made products for loved ones and knowing they are getting something one of a kind that they will hopefully love brings me a lot of joy. So If you have a two year old (Or even a three or four year old) this is the gift guide for you birthdays and holidays, it is totally versatile!
1. A good outfit and new best friend. Jessamyn's romper, bonnet, and Hazel Village fawn friend are all from Cloth Shoppe which I am currently obsessed with. They have clothing for children of all ages and sell the sweetest Hazel Village dolls which Jessamyn might have three of and is completely obsessed with. If you haven't checked them out you should, the inventory is constantly changing and the quality of brands and styles is just always perfect and I always want everything. These products would make a great birthday outfit, gift for a friend, and the Hazel Village dolls are amazing for adventures and have the cutest little outfits too! Jessamyn wore this entire outfit on her birthday trip to the aquarium which you can read more about HERE.
2. Another friend, because everyone knows stuffed friends are better in twos! When I saw these beautiful handmade dolls from Lavender & Linen I knew Jessamyn had to have one... okay realistically probably not but they are quirky, fun, and have their own style which totally matches her spunky personality. Lavender & Linen has so many different kinds of dolls and they are all so well made and great for adventures, definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a one of a kind gift for your little one!
3. Wooden toys! I feel like there has been a resurge lately of gorgeous wooden toys and we are completely in love. The cute cat and little wooden mice on wheels (which she totally makes squeaking noises whenever she plays with them) seen in the photo above are both from Sarah & Bendrix Kids and are so lovely! Jessamyn also got a little woodland play set from them that includes a little deer, rabbit, squirrel, and even a hedge hog..... SO adorable! If you are looking for a more organic earthy toy Sarah & Bendrix Kids is the place to go!
4. Lastly but equally importantly a gorgeous market basket to carry all your treasures and finds! Jessamyn loves this basket... like brings it everywhere and fills it with everything she can find (including one time all the dirt around her) This basket has been one of the best gifts we have ever given her and I could not be more pleased with how it has held up and the gorgeous colors. It is from Plum and Sparrow and if you haven't checked them out yet you are missing out because they have the most amazing baskets in all sizes and colors!
This is a pretty simple gift guide because honestly the best gift you can give your child is up to you.. as their parent or friend or relative... I know thats totally cheesy but Jessamyn's favorite gift this year is this old Winnie the Pooh book that she literally flips through everyday. It was a sweet gesture, and now a treasure that we daily go through and as much as she loves each and every one of these new toys... more than that she loves showing them to me and adventuring together which ultimately is a total win for both of us.
