This was suppose to be a bus update... but there isn't much to say. In so many ways this project has been so much more than I could have ever expected and now at the most crucial point we wait... and wait a bit more. These photos are from the other night when we took a moment to remember that even in the in-between there is life to be had, fires to burn, hot chocolate to drink.
This next month is going to be busy, Jessamyn will be turning two, and we will hopefully make our greatest progress on the bus to date. We hope to paint the outside this up coming weekend and actually have electric run next week. From there it is just a matter of installing cabinets, the shower, floors, and the rest of the furniture. Hopefully fingers crossed that will all be a smooth process and we can move in by December.
Oh and I have been completely obsessed with decorating ideas so if you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments!
Living in this in-between has been challenging. Our home is a work in progress, our life is in boxes, and our dreams are so desperately near but just out of reach. I think we all have been feeling it and the tension has been rough. Jessamyn has been handling it like a pro and even in the midst of this crazy transition has been making huge leaps in her development and constantly reminding me to take a step back and enjoy every moment.
Ben has had some exciting things happen at work and so I think that has kept him busy, meanwhile Jessamyn and I have been frequenting WholeFoods and the gym like nobodies business.
So we keep moving forward, we sit by fire pits, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy the fact that we are together. Never in my life have I felt so much peace in the in-between while also feeling all the stress and honestly I hope in a few months time to look back and laugh at this awkward phase and know it was all worth it.
I don't have much else to say other than thank you for joining us on this journey and I hope that you will check back shortly as we make progress and live out our dream. I have said it before but I will say it again anything worth having takes time and effort and I am convinced this bus dream is no different. Oh and check our Youtube channel here shortly I am getting ready to launch our first ever video coming up here in the next month!
Ps. If you haven't enjoyed a fall fire yet this year there is still time and you are completely missing out!
Pss. I can't even with her and that little cup... she actually didn't drink any hot chocolate (just repeatedly poured it into the fire) but it was so adorable.
