Recently life has been a bit hectic.
There have been boxes, contracts, objections, and a lot of home renovations.
Recently we have not been living,
more just going through the motions,
and now at the end of all of it...
We are holding our breath and waiting.
SO for those of you who have been following the bus conversion we are at a very important part of this story. We moved out of our house this weekend, finished fixing all the repairs for the objection, and if all goes well will close on the sale early this week. I can't even tell you how stressed and nervous we are right now. Everything is waiting on this moment, the bus, our plans, basically we have boxed up, thrown away, or relocated everything we own including ourselves and if all goes well will be in the bus hopefully sometime in November.
As we wait here weighing all the options, hoping everything is good and that we close on time there is a heaviness to this. A setting in that we have put everything into this dream and there is no going back now. We drove up to the mountains on Thursday to see the aspens chasing but also I think to take a moment and breath. So much of the past few months has been just chaos and a lot of hard work to get to this moment of waiting.
So we took a break and a drive... it was beautiful. I think even if we move I will always come back to Colorado for Fall because the aspens and just these colors are seriously out of this world. We drove up to Victor and stopped along the way to take it all in and for Jessamyn to well basically roll in the leaves for a bit.
it was a good reminder that this is what we are building the bus for. It is these moments together that we are putting everything on the line for. Standing out there in a sea of aspen trees watching Jessamyn attempt to chop one down with the biggest stick she could find and just taking it all in I found perspective and peace. No couch, no table set, no anything really is worth more than being together and holding these experiences.
As we continue to hold our breath this weekend and wait I feel a bit more grounded and ready. Hopefully everything will go as planned and we will be working on the bus next weekend with a set deadline and plan for moving in... if not well we will regroup and find another way. No matter what though we will continue to hold these moments and hang on to what is important.
